Long Fork Pallet Jacks for Warehouses

Long Fork Pallet Jacks for WarehousesThanks to advances in shipping and handling, the size of pallets in today’s warehouses have grown.  Unloading trucks and storing the pallets and their contents can require an extremely powerful pallet jack with longer forks.  The 48 inch fork jack may be useful in many situations, but a longer fork jack is becoming increasingly useful, particularly in areas such as the retail furniture industry.  There are many more products being designed today that cannot be placed on the standard 40 or 48 inch pallet.  Douglas Equipment makes sure there is a pallet jack for your company to handle bigger loads and also bigger pallets. Located in South Florida, we have been in the pallet jack business for the past sixty years.  We have been leaders in the caster and material handling industry thanks to our tireless efforts to make sure all our customers are deeply satisfied with whatever they have purchased from us.  We spend a significant amount of time making sure we are the most knowledgeable and experienced providers of material handling equipment.  We focus not only on industrial clients but residential clients as well. We believe that we should be wherever there is a need for our products and that is why we’re the largest provider in the South Florida area.  Thanks to our location, we’re also able to ship quickly and conveniently to locations in the Caribbean and South America as well as throughout the entire United States.

The Long Fork Pallet Jack PT70

Whatever your pallet jack needs may be, our PT70 should do just about everything you need.   It comes in two models, one with 70” forks and the other with 78” forks.  The 78” fork version is especially helpful because it can accommodate lifting and moving a 40” pallet and a 48” pallet simultaneously.  However, both models will be able to help you move pallets or objects that cannot be moved by a standard size pallet jack.

Capacity

Our pallet jack was designed to deal with the heavy capacities associated with the retail furniture industry as well as unloading cargo trucks and ships. Both fork length models come with a capacity of 4,400 lbs.  This capacity will allow for heavy lifting of awkwardly sized loads that cannot fit on a standard sized pallet.

Rubber Handle

These pallet jacks are designed to make the user experience as comfortable as possible. The rubber handle on the pallet jack will ensure that the operator does not experience any repetitive stress injury to his or her hands.  The constant use of a pallet jack without a sufficiently protective coating on the handle can cause a number of issues for the operator and company.  This can be particularly serious while operating the pallet jack pump at higher capacities.

CPI Model Pump

The pallet jack pump is one of the most significant concerns in pallet jack design.  It’s important that the pump smoothly operate as not to jerk the forks and subsequently, the pallet or load. Additionally, the pump must also be user friendly.  It should be easy for the pallet jack operator to use and pump in order to avoid any injury to the back, arms, and shoulder. For the Long Fork Pallet Jack, we have incorporated the pump from our dependable CPI model.  This ensures that the pump functions smoothly and reliably.

Fork Design

Regardless of which fork length you decide on, you can rest assured that both of our fork designs offer the same benefits: tough and reliable.  We have created the forks out of reinforced steel.  Additionally, they come with adjustable connecting rods to help ensure that the forks raise and lower evenly.  This is vitally important as the pallet and load can become unbalanced causing damage to the pallet jack forks, the pallet jack pump, and the load on the jack.

Polyurethane Wheels

Both the 7” steering wheel and the 3” load wheels are made out of polyurethane.  Polyurethane wheels minimize scuffs and other possible markings on the floor.  Polyurethane is also a non-conductive material which helps minimize temperature sensitivity. The temperature range for these types of wheels is around -20 degrees F to 180 degrees F.  The polyurethane in the wheel is also highly resistant to wet and corrosive work environments.

Overload Bypass

The Long Fork Pallet Jack also comes with an overload bypass feature on both models.  This is to ensure that the pump is not damaged should the load be beyond the pallet jack’s weight capacity.

Optional Pallet Jack Stop

The pallet jack can also be ordered with an optional pallet jack stop.  This allows the pallet jack operator to hold the jack in a fixed position, preventing any unwanted movement.  Simply roll the pallet jack steering wheels onto the stop’s incline to secure the pallet jack. This helps eliminate the chance of damage to the load or any danger to personnel.  The pallet jack stop works well on many types of surfaces so slippage is not a problem.

Two Year Pump Warranty

Our reliable CPI model also comes with a 2 year pump warranty.  Should you experience any difficulty with the pump or if it is damaged during the two year timeframe, we will make sure that you don’t have to worry about the expense of repair or replacement.
